Dependence on tuition unlikely to end soon?  

SINGAPORE:
Some parents send their children to tuition. The reason is their child can't keep up with their school syllabus and others want to ensure their child is better prepared for their lessons at school.








Education Minister, Heng Swee Keat has said excessive tuition can be harmful and result in boredom among school-going children.

Parents felt it is the responsibility to ensure that their children are able to cope with the school syllabus and the extra tuition needed.

Parents said they will continue to have tuition for their child. It helps the child to has a head-start in life.
