Most tuition agency owners had difficulty to keep up with the operation for their own reasons:-
1]. Either small profit or not profit at all after deducing the salary and expenses.
2]. Most agencies have long operating hours from 9 am to 10 pm and some even longer.
3]. There are too many bad payments that need to write off.
4]. High cancellations due to many reasons either cause by the students or the tutors.
5]. Experienced tutors asking for highest rate that is difficult for low and middle income groups.
6]. Less experienced tutors tends to give too many or not home-works. Either way is bad.
7]. Most Current School Teachers are not interested to moonlight for their own reasons.
8]. Good Ex-teachers are full-house by Jan or Feb in each year.
9]. Many Uni-graduates left this industry for their own reasons, usually due to low incomes.
10]. Tuition coordinators left the job after few months due to low incomes.
11]. Low birth rate may be another reason: 2011: 39,654, 2012: 42,600.

In conclusion 

If you can earn a monthly salary of $2500 and above in other industry is much better than in this tuition agency industry. Many young uni-graduates found themselves in the wrong job or business after 3 to 5 years in operation. They left and close the operation for good.
